The Mata Dam(Khuga dam) near village Mata about 10 Km. from Lamka(Churachandpur),Manipur State, India, is an earthen dam, 230 m. long and 38 m. high across the Tuitha River.
The Khuga Dam gross storage is 90 M.Cum project being constructed over Tuitha(Khuga) river since 1983-1984 cost of Rs 283.50 crores with the threepronged objectives of providing irrigation facility, safe drinking water and electrification
The Mata Dam(Khuga Dam) targets to provide irrigation facilities to around 15 thousand hectares, with provision for production of five million gallons of drinking water each day and power generation of 1.75 mw.
